Courses

1. Travel expenses are paid for the following leagues when the assignment is performed by the EODSA

ERSL
NCISL
OCSL
RA League

2. The expenses are calculated according to a zone model.

3. The EODSA has been defined with 23 zones

4. Each field is placed in one of the 23 zones

5. The referees home address is assigned to one of the 23 zones

6. When a referee is assigned to a game the EODSA knows the zone in which the game is played and the zone in which the referee lives. For example Nepean to Kemptville. The distance between the two zones is then read from a table.

7. The EODSA does not pay travel expenses for the first 25 Kms of each distance between zones. For the remaining distance a travel expense is paid at the annual rate times twice the remaining distance.

For example
The distance between the Nepean and Kemptville zones is 38 Kms
In 2009 the annual rate is $0.40 per Km
Therefore only 13 Kms is used in the calculation of travel expenses for this game.

ie $0.40 x (2 x 13 Km) = $10.40
