Q1.
A player clean through on goal is brought down by the last defender outside the penalty box. You play advantage because the ball has run to another attacker - but as he races into the area the keeper brings him down. What now?
Answer
Award a penalty and show the keeper a red card for denying an obvious
goalscoring opportunity (known among officials as "DOGSO"). You should
also show the defender a yellow card for unsporting behaviour – it's not
a red for him because he was not directly guilty of DOGSO. The game
cannot restart without a goalkeeper, so make sure either a sub keeper is
brought on, or an outfield player goes in goal. .
Q2.
A speedy winger dribbles the ball along the touchline. The opposing full back approaches to make a tackle but he is beaten for speed so instead of making an attempt for the ball he just sticks a foot out to deliberately trip the winger as he passes. What action do you take?
Answer
This would be considered a tactical foul.so you must show the defender a yellow card for unsporting behaviour.
Q3.
A defender dives in to tackle an attacker with both feet off the ground. He catches the defender on the ankle so you stop play for a free kick. The attacker is not seriously hurt so what action if any do you take against the defender?
Answer
You should not be swayed by the fact that attacker was not seriously hurt. Tackling with both feet off the ground is extremely dangerous and the attacker was lucky he didn't end up with a broken ankle. Show the defender a red card for serious foul play and restart with a direct free kick.
